VIP-Polymers is a UK-based manufacturer specialising in high-performance sealing solutions for the pipeline, tunnelling, trenchless and rail industries. Established in 1923, we have over a century of experience in polymer development, product design, testing and manufacturing.


Today our seals are selected as original equipment by blue chip globally recognised manufacturers of ductile iron pipe, plastic, concrete, GRP and clay pipeline systems. In addition, we have developed and designed gasket systems for numerous prestigious tunnelling projects Worldwide.

VIP-WECO No-Dig sealing systems

The VIP-WECO No-Dig pipeline rehabilitation system has been used extensively across the Globe and is used in various sectors including municipal water and sewer systems.  It has been designed to repair leaking sockets, accommodate dimensional deviations and misaligned joints. Longitudinal damage can be repaired using the VIP-WECO “CONNECT” interlocking system which provides a permanent repair without the need for excavation work.

The VIP-WECO No-Dig Sealing System

The VIP-WECO brand is recognised globally for its no-dig pipe sealing technology, providing a proven method of sealing pipelines without excavation, shutdowns, or disruption to service. In addition, the system holds multiple UK and International potable approvals.

VIP-WECO technical specifications:

  • Up to 25bar sealing capability
  • Can be used on all pipe materials
  • DN185 to DN6000+
  • Fast installation (as little as 30 minutes)
  • Various grades of stainless steel available (for example: 1.4301, 1.4404, 1.462, etc)
  • EPDM rubber material as standard however also available in Nitrile, FKM and HNBR.
  • 280mm, 360mm and 480mm wide standard width.
  • VIP-WECO CONNECT can be used for unlimited width repairs

VIP-WECO Installation and Training

VIP-WECO seals are installed from inside the pipeline. A hydraulic spreader is used to apply constant contact pressure on the rubber sealing element to form a permanent, watertight seal. The system is capable of accommodating lateral movement, differential settlement and even withdrawal of the socket from the spigot.

We do not offer an installation service but have partnered with a number of trusted UK and International VIP-WECO installers and are happy to recommend their services. In addition, we can offer on site training at either our Cambridgeshire manufacturing facility – or at the construction site wherever it may be.
