Infinite Interlocking Sealing System

VIP-WECO Connect is a modular pipe repair system designed to create a continuous internal seal across longitudinal damage and multiple adjacent pipe joints. Using an interlocking connecting profile, individual seals can be securely joined to form an extended sealing assembly while maintaining structural integrity and hydraulic performance.

Utilising the same trusted sealing principles as the standard VIP-WECO system with our CONNECTING profile, individual seals can be securely connected to create a continuous sealing assembly, delivering long-term structural integrity and hydraulic performance.

Designed for trenchless installation in live or critical assets.

During installation, a VIP-WECO starter sleeve —manufactured from EPDM or Nitrile compounds—is positioned over the start of the damaged section / joint of the pipe’s internal wall and secured using stainless steel retaining bands in either 304/316/Duplex grades.

The VIP-WECO Connect seal is then placed  on top of a VIP-WECO starter sleeve and the connecting profile is mechanically clamped with the stainless steel retaining bands, this can be replicated indefinitely with a final VIP-WECO seal being added to complete the full run.

This mechanical arrangement allows the system to withstand internal pressures of up to 25 bar and external pressures of up to 6.0 bar.

This trenchless modular sealing system is particularly suited to pipelines where relining is not viable or where extended structural reinforcement is required.  Once installed, the VIP-WECO Connect system provides a safe, durable, and cost-effective mechanical sealing solution.

For specialist applications such as environments involving aggressive chemicals or infiltration risk, bespoke sealing solutions can be designed and manufactured to suit specific project requirements.

Advantages of the VIP-WECO CONNECT Pipe Sealing System

  • Infinite sealing solution for Longitudinal Cracking, damaged lining or multiple adjacent joints.
  • Reduced supply interruptions due to quick installation
  • Significant reductions in excavations because depending on pipe diameter, pipe access is only required every 150-400m
  • Can be used with almost all pipe materials (concrete, steel, ductile iron, clay, plastic and GRP)
  • Pipe junctions, pipe feeders, recesses, etc can also be isolated or sealed
  • In addition to round profiles, other non-circular profiles (egg, ellipse, oval) can be sealed
  • The permanent elasticity and flexibility of the sleeves secures a permanent seal of the pipe joints, even in the event of shifts of the pipe axis after rehabilitation
  • Can be used in both horizontal and vertical pipe systems
  • Design life of 100+ years

Profile Design and Fitment

The VIP-WECO Connect system consists of the CONNECT Profile with the locating tab, which allows for easy fitment even in confined spaces.

The CONNECT seal can be joined infinitely and finished with a standard VIP-WECO End seal to complete the repair.
